Bonds Interest Rate

Which is the best investment, stocks & bonds or the age old commodity-real estate?

In today's investment world, everyone is investing (one way or another) in the stock market. However, I am particularly interested in the real estate industry. Can someone tell me which is the better decision when it comes to putting my hard earned money in a commodity as far as profit return and cash flow?

  1. All have their good and bad points. Diversification is the key. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. If you want an opinion, I'd shy away from real estate for the moment. The investors appear to be running to the market. Bonds? No thanks.
  2. Frankly, if you dont know the answer then government bonds is what you need. Real estate will likely tank in the next 2-3 years but then agan there are always bagains Stocks are rather overpriced lately but market tends to overreact so you can still find bargains. But to do so you need to invest a fair amount of time in financial analysis & related subjects
  3. Depends on what stocks&b, and if in real estate where(area, city, state, country) you invest. but that real state is slowing down with the interests coming up, many experts, like Soros say in 2007 will crash. But they have been saying this every year. Stocks is not safe place neither. You better diversify. Don't forget gold, wood, etc...
  4. Well, you have to ask yourself, "how much do I know about the stocks market?" Bonds would be safe bet. I strongly believe real estate will continue to run the next couple years. You might want to look into this.
